Over the last few weeks, the remaining contestants on American Idol were put through the grinder with numerous themed shows. They faced the Easter special, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame night, Iconic Idol Moments, and Ladies Night. Put in the spotlight, the singers had to perform genres outside of their skill set. And with the Top 8 revealed on Sunday, here are all the details about tonight’s episode of American Idol and where to watch.

For starters, American Idol has no signs of slowing down as a new episode of will air tonight. And with producers loving to theme, the singers will have to face the judges Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Richie with the Judges Song Contest. Having to perform songs specially picked by the judges, the singer will yet again be put to the test. But, at the same time, the judges have a deep understanding of music and are sure to pick the perfect song to showcase their talents.
Looking at the singers who gained enough votes to land in the Top 8, it included:

- Gabby Samone

Judges Get Special Power On ‘American Idol’
Sadly, the American Idol dream ended for Kolbi Jordan who performed a rendition of Fleetwood Mac’s “The Chain.” Joining her was Canaan James Hill. He produced a powerful performance of Underwood’s “Love Wins.”
Although not getting enough votes, many fans shared their disappointment in watching Hill leave. “I’m so upset he didn’t get in top 8, I’m in shock, but I hope he continues singing because he has such a gift, God bless him.” Another fan urged Hill to continue his dream of singing. “Arguably one of the best singers in the competition. But that’s what it is though, a competition. Some win, and some lose. Go forward Canaan and win in life. Your star will keep shining brighter.”
With the Top 8 facing another elimination tonight, the judges will receive a chance to save one of the singers from going home. Don’t miss a new episode of American Idol, airing tonight at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on ABC and available to stream the following day on Hulu.
