Longtime ‘The Voice’ Coach Plays Emotional Final Show Before Undergoing Breast Cancer Treatment

Jessie J is ready to take on cancer treatment. The same month that the beloved former Voice coach revealed she had been diagnosed with breast cancer, she played her last scheduled show before undergoing treatment.

According to Daily Mail, while on the stage at Capital’s Summertime Ball with Barclaycard at Wembley Stadium, Jessie J told the crowd that that performance would be her “last show before I go to beat breast cancer.”

“So it’s so special to me, you have no idea,” she said, per the outlet.

At another point during her performance, the outlet reported that Jessie J noted that she’s “so grateful for this life,” her career, and her son. The singer shares Sky, 2, with her boyfriend, Chanan Safir Colman.

“My family, my band, my crew,” she added of things she’s grateful for, per the outlet. “We are so lucky, we have so much to live for, so much joy, so much, so many things to do.”

Jessie J Reflects on Her Final Show Ahead of Cancer Treatment

Following her performance, Jessie J took to her Instagram Story to reflect on the show.

“If you ever wonder what I do after a show. First I went to dinner with some beautiful inspiring friends and now I’ve got home, showered first, oilatum cream thick on my face so I look like Mrs Doubtfire,” she wrote. “While the house is dark and everyone is asleep. I’ve unpacked my bags, done some house chores, washed Sky’s cup and put washing away.”

“Now I’m sitting in the Sky’s room just staring at him,” Jessie J continued. “Having a needed a well earned cry. Happy and scared tears. This boy. My whole heart. What a special day today was.”

In a post to Instagram, Jessie J further reflected on her performance.

“One of my favourite shows I have ever done in the past 15 years of this beautiful crazy life of mine. Wow,” she wrote. “The love 80,000 people showed me yesterday was the exact definition of 🫀🔋. Thank you.”

“I will never forget that moment ever. I am so lucky to feel that support,” Jessie J added. “And anyone else going through cancer right now. I am sharing it with you. I’m throwing hands at my cancer and yours.”

This might be the last time Jessie J steps out in public for a while. In the post announcing her early breast cancer diagnosis, the singer said she planned to “disappear for a bit” amid her treatment.
