Having sold over 75 million albums, judged on American Idol, and scored 30 No. 1 hits, Luke Bryan knew what it took to become a top name in country music. Over the last two decades, the Entertainer of the Year showcased his talents, even becoming the first person to win Album of the Decade for Crash My Party. But with Bryan helming numerous tours throughout his career, he recently struggled to finish his own song “Strip It Down”, even needing to pause for a moment to gather his thoughts.

The hilarious moment happened when Bryan sat down at a piano to perform “Strip It Down.” Released on his Kill the Lights album back in 2015, the country singer covered the song countless times over the passing years. But Bryan appeared to forget the words as he cruised through the song. While getting through the first couple of lyrics, he quickly paused, trying to remember the next words. Not remotely hiding it, Bryan made the most out of the situation, telling the crowd, “I totally forgot the words.”
Not The First Time Luke Bryan Forgot His Own Lyrics
A true professional, Bryan quickly jumped back into the song, able to remember where he left out. He declared, “I got it!”
Continuing the performance, fans in attendance loved the short mix-up with comments reading:
“I love that cause he’s probably like thinking about something else, or like maybe he just remembered something he needs to do later and forgets he was performing.”
“Luke Bryan will always be the funniest man on the planet, unintentionally too.”
“No one has more fun at a Luke Bryan concert than Luke Bryan.”
The comments continued to stack up as the video circulated social media. While fans understood the quick mix-up, it’s unclear exactly what Bryan was thinking about at that moment. And apparently, this wasn’t the first time he forgot some of his own lyrics. According to another fan, he explained how the country star also stumbled during a concert they attended. “When I saw him, he forgot the words so bad, he made us Google them.”
Although just a statement from a fan, the idea of Bryan needing to take a moment to remember lyrics just added to his lighthearted persona. And with the singer recording countless songs over his career, it makes complete sense he would forget a lyric or two.
