Dylan Scott has lived in Nashville for 15 years. Like everybody pursuing this dream, his career has been up, down, lost, and also found. However, above all, Scott revealed that “it’s been a grind”, but he’s luckily “seen a lot of growth,” and that “growth” will seemingly continue, as the country singer has a full slate of plans for the future.

Amidst this journey of growth, Dylan Scott has garnered a staunch fan base, major awards, and several No. 1 singles. Needless to say, the man has achieved the very success that is so sought after in this business. Well, today, May 30, Dylan Scott adds to his success with the release of his third studio album, Easy Does It. The 11-track album comes between Scott’s previous Country Till I Die tour and the impending Easy Does It tour. In other words, the man is not slowing down. Matter of fact, Scott divulged that he’s “always looking ahead,” and at times he could probably “settle down and go, ‘What a time to be alive.’”
Scott is certainly grateful for his success, but as of now, he is not pausing, as the man has songs to sing, stages to grace, and fans to please. So, for the foreseeable future, expect to see Dylan Scott here, there, and just about everywhere else in country music.
The Maturity & Momentum Behind Dylan Scott’s ‘Easy Does It’
Dylan Scott is young in spirit, but he is also a 34-year-old with both a wife and three kids. Hence, his music has become a bit more mature and grounded. Concerning this tonal choice, Scott stated, “It’s just a more mature lyric. I feel like the sounds a little more mature,” and “It’s just a reflection of my life in these songs.”
Songs, that is seemingly what drives Scott, and is also what drives this album. One song in particular that is currently performing off the charts for Scott is his single, “What He’ll Never Have”, which has acquired 300 million streams, and growing, as well as a Platinum certification. Though, that was never Scott’s intention for the song, as he simply wanted to write a tune people could connect to. “I’ll be honest with you, when I wrote the song, I didn’t go, ‘we just wrote the greatest song in the world,’” said Scott. Scott also admitted that he “didn’t know if [he] was going to record it.” Luckily, he did, as it is on track to be the biggest song of his career.
In addition to already scoring some successes with “What He’ll Never Have”, Scott has another song that certainly has the legs to go the distance. That song is the Morgan Wallen and ERNEST co-written track, “I Owe You One.” Which was written by Wallen and ERNEST with Ashley Gorley and Mark Holman.
Recalling the moment he heard the song, Scott remembered, “I was riding on the road,” and “I hit this song, ‘I Owe You One’. It starts, it’s like, man, this feels good.” “I got through the first verse of the song, and I said, ‘I know exactly where this is about to go. This is awesome,’” concluded Scott.
For Scott, the Road Is the Best Part…
Dylan Scott recently made personal history on his Country Till I Die Tour. Not only did he sell out 10 shows, but he also broke his personal attendance record. Though, as stated previously, Scott is always looking ahead, so he thought to himself at the time, “That’s awesome,” but “How do we, how do we get to 10,000 people?”
Well, Scott will get the chance to accomplish that, as he will be hitting the road this fall for his headlining Easy Does It tour. Scott will also be performing at Nissan Stadium during CMA Fest 2025. Even if Scott doesn’t have another record-breaking tour, he seemingly wouldn’t care. As his favorite part of this job, “Is playing the shows,” “Being on stage,” and “Interacting with the fans.”
“I am very grateful for all the opportunities I get and the life I get, and, you know, my friends and family, and it’s just, it is, man, it’s a cool life,” shared Dylan Scott. A cool life indeed, and one that will seemingly continue for years to come.
