Famed “Pretty Little Baby” Singer, Connie Francis, Hospitalized in ICU

Getting her start in the music industry during the 1950s, Connie Francis spent over six decades not only exploring a career on the stage but also the silver screen. While selling over 200 million albums thanks to hits like “Everybody’s Somebody’s Fool”, she also appeared in numerous films that included Rock Rock, Rock!, Jamboree, and Follow the Boys. Retiring back in 2018, reports recently surfaced that Francis was taken to the ICU in Florida for what appeared to be “extreme pain.”

The news of Francis being taken to the hospital came after she was forced to cancel an appearance on the Independence Day special hosted by radio personality Cousin Brucie. He shared on Facebook, “Cousins – Sorry to report this to you. Connie Francis was admitted to the Hospital again. She is in intensive care. As soon as I receive more information, I will post it here. Let’s pray that Connie will be okay.”

With fans already sending love and support to Francis, the singer eventually broke her silence, also sharing on Facebook, “As many of you may now have learned through Cousin Brucie’s Facebook page, I am back in hospital where I have been undergoing tests and checks to determine the cause(s) of the extreme pain I have been experiencing.”

Connie Francis Goes Viral On TikTok Thanks To “Pretty Little Baby”

Even while in the hospital, Francis took a moment to share her disappointment when having to cancel her show with Cousin Brucie. “I had hoped to take part in Brucie’s show for Independence Day, having had to cancel a previous slot a few weeks ago when receiving treatment on my hip. Sadly, I had to let him know that I again had to withdraw. My thanks for your many get well soon messages.”

Keeping fans informed about her ongoing treatment, Francis posted her last update, revealing she underwent several tests. “I am pleased to advise that following a series of tests and examinations in Intensive Care, I have now been transferred to a private room. Thank you all for your kind thoughts, words and prayers. They mean so much!”

Outside of her health struggles, Francis saw a resurgence in her popularity recently when her song “Pretty Little Baby” went viral on TikTok. With millions of users singing alongside her hit song, Francis admitted, “To tell you the truth, I didn’t even remember the song. I had to listen to it to remember. To think that a song I recorded 63 years ago is touching the hearts of millions of people is truly awesome. It is an amazing feeling.” 

For now, Francis remained at the hospital and had yet to update fans about her test results.
