Jack White Changes Lyrics to “Corporation” To Rip the US Government in Resurfaced Clip

White altered the lyrics of his solo Boarding House Reach track “Corporation” while performing in Boston last month. The clip recently surfaced on social media, and you can watch it below:

In the song, White changes the verses to jab at Musk’s influence in the United States government following the 2024 election, as well as President Trump.

Specifically, Jack White sings the updated lyrics: “I was thinking about taking government subsidies and starting my own electric car company / Who’s with me?”

Another few alterations include: “I’m thinking about not being elected / Never holding a public office / Never serving one day of military service / But somehow having the authority to control parts of the U.S. Government / Who’s with me?”

White got real vicious with one particular line as well: “I’m thinking about not being properly vetted by the Supreme Court or Congress / Just doing whatever the hell I want because some f*cking bloated a**hole orange f*cking gorilla who’s failed at every business he’s ever ran wants me to be his golf cart partner.”

This Isn’t The First Time Jack White Had Beef With The Government

In September 2024, Jack White and former White Stripes member Meg White launched a lawsuit against Donald Trump and his campaign. The suit involved the unauthorized use of their no. 1 hit garage rock song “Seven Nation Army”. Specifically, Trump’s team used the song in a social media video that promoted his run for president.

The White Stripes broke up in 2011. The two former members called the use of the song “flagrant misappropriation”. They tossed six counts of copyright infringement at Trump and his team. However, in November, the pair asked for the lawsuit to be dismissed without prejudice. That means that both Whites can opt to submit the suit again in the future if they wish.

Jack White is currently in the middle of his No Name Tour to support his album of the same name. The tour is set to wrap up on September 14 in Louisville, Kentucky, at Bourbon & Beyond.
