Ethel Cain Announces New Album and Tour in 2025

Everyone’s favorite gothic rock queen is coming out with another new album. And it’ll be out just months after the release of her drone project Perverts. Ethel Cain recently revealed that her next album will be a follow-up to her hit 2022 debut concept album, Preacher’s Daughter. The sequel will be titled Willoughby Tucker, I’ll Always Love You and is set for release in August of 2025.

Just as well, outside of her new album, Ethel Cain has also announced an enormous headlining tour. The trek will take her across Europe and North America, starting in the summer of 2025.

Ethel Cain’s New Album ‘Willoughby Tucker, I’ll Always Love You’ Will Be the Sequel to Her Cult Classic Debut ‘Preacher’s Daughter’

Willoughby Tucker, I’ll Always Love You will be released to fans in August of this year, according to a cryptic post from Cain on Instagram.

Naturally, fans of Cain are freaking out online.

“Oh my god YES!” said one fan in her Instagram comments.

“So so deeply excited can actually feel my bones shaking,” said another.

For reference, Willoughby Tucker, I’ll Always Love You will continue the story (as a prequel) of Preacher’s Daughter, a concept album produced by Cain in 2022. Preacher’s Daughter is an Americana dark ambient album that follows the story of the invented character Ethel Cain, who escapes her religious home only to be killed by a serial killer.

Following the international success of Cain’s debut, she released Perverts earlier this year. The record has been billed as an experimental drone album and a notable shift from the sound of Preacher’s Daughter.

Ethel Cain also announced that she will embark on the Willoughby Tucker Forever Tour across the globe. The tour will include stops in New York, Los Angeles, Toronto, England, Belgium, Germany, and more. Cain will also partner with The Ally Coalition to donate $1 of each ticket sold to organizations that serve the trans community. A proper list of shows will be released at a later date.

Cain’s upcoming tour will go live via a presale event on March 26 at 12:00 pm local. Tickets will go on sale to the public on March 28 at 10:00 am local. Get your tickets soon!
