Morgan Wallen brought out a real-life cowgirl to sing “Cowgirls” with him at his latest show.

After Miranda Lambert opened for Wallen on his I’m the Problem Tour, the headliner brought her out again during his set in Wisconsin.
The pair teamed up on “Cowgirls,” which Wallen, along with featured artist Ernest, released in 2023.
Though Lambert is a noted horsewoman, the song choice was an unexpected one. That’s largely true because Lambert co-wrote “Thought You Should Know” with Wallen in 2022, and has previously performed the track with him.
The duet came the first night of Lambert’s gig opening for Wallen on his tour. The same is true for Ella Langley, who played before both artists for the first time during the most recent show.
Langley also came out on stage during Wallen’s set, singing “What I Want” with the headliner. On Wallen’s album, he sings the track with Tate McRae.
“My sister turned me on to Tate and her music a few years ago and I’ve been a fan ever since. She is a true pop star, a prolific songwriter and is also an extremely underrated vocalist,” Wallen told Billboard of his duet partner. “We have known each other for a couple years and have been talking about doing a song together if the right one came about.”
Morgan Wallen Is on Tour
Wallen’s I’m the Problem Tour kicked off earlier this month with two shows in Houston, Texas. Koe Wetzel and Corey Kent opened for Wallen for those concerts.
The tour will continue through September with stops throughout the U.S. and Canada. Other openers for the tour include Brooks & Dunn, Thomas Rhett, Gavin Adcock, and Anne Wilson.
The latter singer recently told Taste of Country how Wallen’s music helped her process her grief after her brother’s death.
“When I was writing music, I would go to my farm in Kentucky, and sit by my brother’s graveside,” Wilson said. “I would sit and listen to Morgan Wallen, and this was when he was just coming out with music.”
“Morgan’s music inspired me to go back in the writing room and really stick to my roots, or country, Christian stuff,” she added. “At that point I was writing more Christian music stuff, and it didn’t feel fully right for me. He continues to inspire me.”
