Watch Katy Perry Make Young Fan’s Dream Come True When Inviting Him on Stage To Dance

While most are happy just being able to see their favorite singer perform in person, some fans, like Keegan Powers, wanted to do more than watch their top singer, Katy Perry. When the singer took the stage in Adelaide, Australia, she already knew about the talent of Powers after he went viral for dancing at a Dua Lipa concert in March. Having a love for the spotlight, dancing, and performing, Perry was the one left shocked when Powers completely dominated the stage.

At just 12 years old, some would believe the young fan might be a little nervous when taking the stage in front of thousands of screaming fans. But when Perry stood beside him, Powers seemed a natural. Introducing him to the crowd, Powers told Perry how much he dreamed of the moment. “Thank you. I have been dreaming of this moment since literally the day I got tickets, and I have so many people that can prove that. And I’ve been messaging Katy on Instagram since Oct. 1 of last year. I love Katy Perry!”

Using the power of social media, Powers caught the attention of Perry who didn’t want to disappoint the young dancer. But at the same time, she told him, “You better show me what’s up. Come on, let’s go, Keegan.”

Keegan Powers Shares His New Dream With Katy Perry

Even before Perry started her song “Swish Swish”, Powers showed just how comfortable he was in the spotlight, telling the singer, “You gotta sing first, baby girl.”

With the crowd roaring in excitement, Powers left every dance move he had on the stage. Even when Perry hit the last note, she couldn’t help but bow to the dancer. She told the crowd, “Adelaide, I feel like you have a star on your hands. Make some noise for this incredible young man.”

Getting the approval of Perry and Adelaide, Powers ended his time on stage, sharing his next dream. “I wanna go on tour. I really do. I want to sell out arenas and stadiums like this. And I just want to dance.”

Already showing his talent and ability to work a crowd, the dream of Powers becoming a dancer and selling out arenas was a true possibility.
