Katy Perry had a close call during her recent concert. While performing at Australia’s Adelaide Entertainment Centre as part of her Lifetimes Tour, the singer nearly fell out of a large metal sphere.

The scary moment happened as Perry entered the sphere, which was set to soar above the audience.
As it ascended into the air, though, the sphere began to tilt to one side. That prompted Perry to stumble and grab onto cables for support, holding on tight so as to not fall out of the object.
With that, the sphere was lowered to the ground and crew members worked to mend the situation.
Katy Perry’s Emotional State
Amid her tour, Perry is going through some personal woes. The singer recently split from her fiancé, Orlando Bloom. Shortly after news of the breakup went public, Perry got emotional during one of her concerts.
The moment took place at the end of the show when Perry was making a heart with her hands in appreciation of the audience.
“Thank you for always being there for me, Australia. It means the world,” Perry said as she got choked up. After the emotional moment, Perry gathered herself quickly and proceeded to sing “Firework.”
Audience members attributed the show of emotion to Perry’s feelings about her split. A source told People about Perry’s current state amid this tumultuous period of her life.
“She’s felt a lot of pressure about her tour and now this,” the source said of the breakup. “It’s been a lot for her. She’s still doing great though.”
The tearful moment on stage came shortly after Perry’s much-criticized trip to space, as well as less than positive comments about her tour. Back in May, Perry addressed her current emotions in an Instagram comment.
“Please know I am ok, I have done a lot work around knowing who I am, what is real and what is important to me,” she wrote. “… When the ‘online’ world tries to make me a human piñata, I take it with grace and send them love, cause I know so many people are hurting in so many ways and the internet is very much so a dumping ground for unhinged and unhealed.”
“I’m not perfect, and I actually have omitted that word from my vocabulary,” Perry added. “I’m on a human journey playing the game of life with an audience of many and sometimes I fall but… I get back up and go on and continue to play the game and somehow through my battered and bruised adventure I keep looking to the light and in that light a new level UNLOCKS.”
