Silver’s jazzy version of “Baby, I Love Your Way,” which also features the Count Basie Orchestra, begins as a smoky ballad and builds to a dynamic, horn-filled crescendo. Frampton delivers tasteful, blues-influenced solos in the middle and at the end of the track.
“I was totally blown away when I first heard the Basie Band’s intro to ‘Baby, I Love Your Way,’ and then the incredible vocal by Deborah Silver,” Frampton said in a statement posted on SeligFilmNews.com. “The arrangement is superb! I’m so pleased to be a small part of this wonderful track.”
The track is available now via digital formats. Silver released the song on Friday, February 14, to coincide with Valentine’s Day.
“Happy Valentine’s Day!” the singer wrote on her Instagram page. “My gift is my brand-new rendition of ‘Baby, I Love Your Way’ recorded with the [Count Basie Orchestra] & featuring [Rock Hall] artist [Peter Frampton! It’s available everywhere now & I hope you enjoy our tribute to Peter’s iconic hit with someone you love.”

In 1988, the U.S. dance-pop group Will to Power topped the Hot 100 with a medley combining “Baby, I Love Your Way” and Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Free Bird.” The American pop-reggae band Big Mountain’s cover of “Baby, I Love Your Way” peaked at No. 6 on the Hot 100 in 1994.
