In June, Dierks Bentley will release his first album in two years with Broken Branches. Excited for the new album, the country singer spent months promoting his work and collaborations with Miranda Lambert, Riley Green, and several others. And wanting to do more than just release music, Bentley decided to shine a light on those who stood behind the scenes, spending hours and even days on a single song with the Broken Branches Fund.

Posting a picture of the cover and tracklist (Shown Below) on Instagram, Bentley shared some insight into his career in country music. Showing how many people went into a single song, he captioned the post, writing, “My whole career has been built alongside a community of other Broken Branches, in the writers rooms and recording studios across Music Row. I’m more appreciative than ever for the songwriters, musicians, producers, artists and friends who helped bring this idea to life. Some I’ve known for a long time and a few who are just joining the family.”
With Bentley wanting to do more than praise those creatives, he announced the Broken Branches Fund, which would offer mental health resources to those working in the music industry. It even extended past the studio, adding the crews that continuously transport a stage from city to city in a matter of hours.
Dierks Bentley Giving Back To Those Who “Keep Country Music Playing”
Having dedicated himself to his own tour, Bentley saw just how much those behind the light sacrificed to help him achieve his dream. “Making this album and prepping for the tour, I’ve never been more aware of the sacrifice that the people in this town make every day to keep country music playing. Whether you’re sitting in a room all day trying to write the perfect hook or leaving home on a bus for weeks at a time, it can be isolating and exhausting.”
Joining forces with the Music Health Alliance, the music community and their families will have access to counseling and other mental health resources. Thrilled about the moment, Bentley declared, “This just felt like the right opportunity to make a bigger commitment on my part to supporting those folks and their families in a more direct and intentional way.”
