WELCOME to Hannah Richardson’s Website! We hope you take
some time to explore and enjoy getting to know Hannah a little
better. Enjoy the songs, pictures, videos and calendar. Hannah
is taking an active role in creating this website and the
experience has been an exciting journey. It is similar to
writing a song, lots of ideas on paper and crossing out this
and that and seeing what feels right.
Hannah is an 11 year old Singer/Songwriter from Waynesboro,
Pennsylvania. Hannah sings Broadway, Classics from the 50’s
and 60’s, Country Music (traditional and current) Rock and
Roll and of course some Disco from the 70’s.
Hannah has performed in over 150 live shows including dinner
theaters, festivals, charitable events, competitions, and
fundraisers. Hannah recorded her first original song (Jan.
2011), “The Country Bug”, which she co-wrote
and was extremely involved in the entire recording process.
Producer Kit Worton from Right Touch Studios said, “Hannah
has the maturity and musical knowledge of an artist many years
her senior” and “Hannah is so easy to work with, it
makes my job easy”.
2011
started off with a bang for Hannah by competing in The
North America Country Music Association International where
she won First Place Vocalist and Performer of the Year
Awards. This was quickly followed by a request to “change
hats” and perform at The Apollo Theater in Harlem,
New York for a special “Broadway Night”, Child Stars of
Tomorrow feature event. Hannah belted out, “I Wanna Be A
Rockette” to a standing ovation and on 9/28/2011 won FIRST
place at The Apollo for her performance of “Home”
from the Broadway hit, “The Wiz”. She then shared FIRST
place the following week at The Apollo singing
competition. Hannah finished up 2011 with 23 Christmas Shows.
In Oct. 2011, Hannah released her second original song, “The Boy
Next Door”. The
summer of 2011, Hannah sang and recorded for the television show
in
Nashville
TN
called “ The Nashville Spotlight Series”.
During 2010 Hannah worked with 3ABN Christian Network in
Illinois
recording a 10 song Christian CD and acting in their television
show series, “KidsTimePraise”. Hannah sang her way to the
Pennsylvania
State
finals for the Colgate
Country Showdown in
Hershey
PA
2010, and won first place in the Colgate’s singing competition
in
Waynesburg
PA. Hannah has an
amazingly powerful voice and can belt out in perfect pitch songs
from LeAnn Rimes, Patsy Cline, Carrie Underwood, Hank Williams,
and many more of the great classic performers. In September, 2010 Hannah participated in
The
Tennessee
Country Music Association’s singing and performance
competition. Hannah
won
First Place
in both the Singing and Performance categories with her renditions
of Cowboy Sweetheart, Blue, Your Cheatin Heart,
and Cowboy Casanova. Hannah was immediately invited to perform live on the local
radio station just outside Pigeon Forge, TN. In December 2010 Hannah performed at the
NashvillePalace
with The Nashville Spotlight
Television Series.Hannah won First Place in the Nashville Palace singing
competition.
Hannah appeared in the October 24th, 2011 edition of THE WALL STREET JOURNAL regarding her performance at The Apollo.In July 2011, Hannah was featured in CENTRAL
PENN Parent Magazine.Hannah
was featured in Hagerstown Magazine in their January/February 2012
edition.
Hannah has also been featured on ABC, NBC, CBS, and Fox TV.In 2009 and 2011 she was interviewed on Harrisburg,
Pennsylvania’s NBC25 “Out and About” with Chuck Rhodes.She has appeared in newspapers
including, The Record,
Herald, The Herald Mail, and The
Public Opinion.She has been acknowledged by local and state government
officials including State Representatives from
Maryland
and
Pennsylvania
.
